Air Flow Sensors with IO-Link
TURCK launches FCS-K20 and FCS-M18 airflow sensors for digitalized airflow monitoring
TURCK's new FCS air flow sensors with IO-Link digitally monitor air flows and temperatures, for example on fans and filters in industrial ventilation and exhaust air systems. Compared to devices with analog output, IO-Link enables easy parameterization and provides additional process data such as temperature values. Users benefit from fast commissioning and the ability to adjust settings remotely even after installation – ideal for air ducts that are difficult to access. Since no mechanical adjustment elements are required, there is no risk of leaks.
The air flow sensors provide comprehensive status information via IO-Link and support the Smart Sensor Profile standard. In addition to the switching function for air flow and temperature, diagnostic and operating data are available for IIoT applications. The integrated 6-color LED provides a clear status display directly on the device. Variants with cable or pigtail and M12 connector offer flexible connection options.
Typical applications include monitoring air flows in ventilation ducts, exhaust air systems, and industrial fans, as well as checking filter conditions. The sensors are also used in underground car park and tunnel ventilation systems. The product family includes the FCS-K20 for plug-in mounting and the FCS-M18 for screw mounting. Both variants are available with a 2 m cable or 0.2 m pigtail with M12 connector.
