IMI Sensors Announces ICP® In-Line Vibration Transmitter
Turn Existing Accelerometers into 24/7 Vibration Monitoring Sensors
Depew, New York, USA – May 10, 2010 – IMI Sensors – a division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc. the industry’s No. 1 supplier of 4-20 mA Vibration Transmitters, announces the release of their model 682A09 ICP® In-Line 4-20 mA Vibration Transmitter.
Another IMI Sensors industry-first, the model 682A09 installs in line with any industrial accelerometer and converts the vibration signal to a 4-20 mA velocity output that can be trended with today’s PLC, DCS or SCADA control room systems. Its sleek design installs right into the cable run, no DIN rails, cabinets or special power required. Now customers can take their existing accelerometers and turn them into 24/7 vibration monitoring devices for their most critical machinery.
The 682A09 is a stainless steel, hermetically sealed design capable of operating in the harshest environments with 2-pin MIL connector input and 3-pin MIL connector output. It accepts a 100 mV/g analog signal, converts to 4-20 mA output and operates off of loop-power supplied by the PLC, DCS or SCADA system. In addition, the 682A09 outputs the 100 mV/g analog signal via its 3-pin output connector. The analog signal can be run to a central collection point, allowing the user to maintain the FFT capability of the original system.
IMI Sensors is dedicated to addressing the machinery vibration sensing needs for condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and process control requirements. All IMI sensors and vibration switches are designed to withstand the rigors of harsh industrial environments. Included are sensors that interface directly with vibration data collectors and analysis equipment, as well as process monitoring equipment, PLC, DCS, alarm, and SCADA systems.
