New texense® IRN8W Wireless digital infrared temperature sensor
Texys International, French leader in high performance embedded testing sensors, is proud to release its new Wireless 8 channels infrared sensor for tire temperature monitoring, texense® IRN8W.
Based on the same infrared technology of its successful IRN8C-F1, IRN8W has been developed and designed to simplify harnesses, and to reduce the source of potential electrical problems (due to cables or connectors) as a consequence.
This wireless version of our successful 8 channels infrared tire temperature sensor allows the car manufacturer testing departments to save time on their tests preparation.
The IRN8W full set is composed of one IRN8W-M master receiver (CAN bus 2.0A output data at 10Hz sampling frequency) managing up to 8 IRN8W-S slave IR sensors. IRN8W-S sensors send data to IRN8W-M in 868 MHz or 915 MHz RF frequency bandwidth. 2.4 GHz will be available shortly.
Primary cell has been chosen to keep compact sensor. Although it gets small size, IRN8W-S sensor offers huge autonomy (up to 24 hours) and has kept the same performance reached with IRN8C-F1 : -20°/+200°C temperature range, +/-1 % FS accuracy, 8 in-line measurement channels with 41.5° total beam angle for any racing tire foot-print temperature monitoring.
Texys international has been developing for more than 15 years a range of sensors suitable for embedded Testing for Racing, Automotive and Aeronautics applications.
The new IRN8W infrared sensor is a logical step of our expertise in miniaturized sensors dedicated to embedded testing in harsh environment and when space is limited.
