New texense® Pitot sensor with integrated temperature probe: PI-6-TCK

Texys International, French leader in high performance embedded testing sensors, is proud to announce the release of texense® PI-6-TCK: the new and up-graded version of its 6mm Pitot assembly tube and pressure differential sensor.

Texense® PI-6-TCK is the result of the ongoing development process on successful PI-6 Pitot sensor and a close cooperation effort with the highest level motor racing professional organizations.

The development works have been focused on 2 topics:

• Integration of new features with temperature measurement and an additional static pressure port,
• Housing design improvement (on both functional and aesthetic sides)

The pressure and temperature signals conditioning is managed by the same electronic amplifier. Thus the new PI-6-TCK Pitot sensor delivers two 0-5 V analog signals in the same cable.

The differential pressure standard measuring range has to be chosen between +/- 50 up to +/-76 mBar (+/- 0.72 to +/- 1.10 PSI). Other measuring ranges are available on demand. For temperature, the standard range is -40/+150°C.

As on previous version, PI-6-TCK is not sensible to gravity (0.2mbar/G) and keeps high performances (+/- 1 % FS accuracy & 100Hz sampling frequency for pressure; +/- 0.25% FS accuracy for temperature). PI-6-TCK is also EMI-RFI protected.

New texense® PI-6-TCK offers also a brand-new and high profile aluminum housing which remains very compact in regards to the new added features (45.5x25x16.5mm only).

An optional static pressure port could be integrated in the front face of the housing on demand.

The stainless steel Pitot tube height is 130mm as standard. However other dimensions are available on demand (up to 300mm). The tube-facing angle is free and is safely screw-locked.

New texense® PI-6-TCK brings a new integrated response to numerous purposes for aerodynamic measurements in motorsports, automotive, aeronautics fields (either on vehicles or for wind tunnel tests) or in powering industries (windmill …).
