Sherborne Sensors launches A820 Series Ultra-Low Range Dual Axis Servo Accelerometer

London, UK, 25 February, 2014 – Sherborne Sensors, a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of sensors for military, aerospace and industrial applications has today announced the launch of its A820 Series DC-operated dual axis ultra-low range, servo accelerometers.

Developed from Sherborne Sensors’ successful A320 single axis accelerometer, the A820 is particularly suitable for deployment in structural health monitoring applications where its compact design and precisely aligned measurement axes simplify installation whilst significantly reducing cabling and installation costs that would otherwise arise from the use of two individual accelerometers. 

The A820 offers full-scale acceleration ranges down to as little as ± 0.10g and up to ±2g, while also providing matchless discrimination down to micro-g levels. This makes the A820 a perfect choice for the recording of structural response during ambient vibrations and seismic disturbances. As a special option, the A820 is available with differing X and Y full-scale ranges to optimise the unit for specific applications where dissimilar sensitivities are required in each axis.
