Universal SG measuring amplifier with high channel density
The new measuring amplifier from the QuantumX measuring system of measurement technology specialist HBM covers the full range of tasks in SG measurement technology with its universal inputs.
Up to 16 strain gage (SG) channels can be connected to the MX 1615 in full-bridge, half-bridge or quarter-bridge configuration with a 3-wire and patented Kreuzer 4-wire circuit. All channels can also be used to record standardized voltage signals of ± 10 V as well as temperatures with a Pt100 sensor. The user can parameterize each channel individually, and all 16 channels are equipped with 24-bit AD converters.
The excitation voltage of the SG channels can be selected for each channel as a carrier frequency or DC voltage. The carrier frequency method, electrical isolation of channels and cyclic auto-adjustment algorithms make the measuring amplifier very insensitive to electromagnetic interference associated for example with inverters, high current flow or electrical machines. The data rate of 19.2 kHz and the maximum bandwidth of 3 kHz per channel cover a wide analysis range.
The new MX1615 can be combined with other modules from the QuantumX series in a distributed measurement architecture, for example with analog outputs, digital inputs/outputs, CAN bus or EtherCAT connection. Ethernet TCP/IP is used to transfer data to a PC.
