For cramped spaces: OptoPulse EIL580 with axial connection
Baumer has expanded the flexible and efficient encoder family OptoPulse EIL580 and introduced variants with axial connection as well as additional accessories.
The encoders with axial outlet enable installation in limited spaces. The connection is made through an M12 or M23 flange socket or a cable outlet. Solid shafts with clamping or servo flange and/or 8 to 15 mm end shaft are available as mechanical interfaces.
The housing with a wall thickness of 1.5 mm features a very robust design. The reliable ShaftLock bearing design prevents bearing assembly misalignment and damage to the code disk caused by excessively high axial shaft loads.
Optical scanning specifically developed for use in precision encoders with finely graduated resolutions from 100 to 5,000 guarantees accuracy and signal quality over the entire temperature range from -40° C to +85° C.
The yet comprehensive accessory range was further expanded. A self-retaining clip enables easy installation of a hollow shaft encoder on all fan guards in 8 mm steps, and a robust bearing flange increases the admissible shaft load from 40 N to 200 N axially and from 80 N to 250 N radially.
