Colibrys inaugurates its premises to Yverdon-les-Bains
Colibrys: World-class leader in the field of high performance micro-motion sensors, Colibrys inaugurates its presence in the area of Y-Parc in Yverdon-les-Bains.
This new location spread over 3750m2 integrates offices and a production area, comprising of manufacturing, assembly and testing. On this occasion the company also invested in complete new infrastructure facilities.
The festivities took place in the presence of Sagem France Management Team, its new shareholder since February 2013, including its Avionics division Director, Joel Berkoukchi, as well as local authorities.
Worldwide well known provider in the field of MEMs (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems, MEMS), Colibrys is working to push the boundaries of performance in this field and this way substituting MEMS in place of other more expensive technologies for demanding applications such as guiding helicopters.
This new facility will allow Colibrys to support its growth in the coming years.
Colibrys vacated its former premises at Neuchâtel at the end of 2013.
Colibrys, new company of the group Sagem (Safran) since 1st January 2013, is a world-leading supplier of standard and semi-custom MEMS based motion sensors to the harsh-environments (Military, Aerospace and Energy) and safety critical (Industrial and Instrumentation) applications. COLIBRYS family of motion sensors include extremely low noise, shock resistant seismic sensors, high stability shock tolerant inertial and shock accelerometers tilt sensors as well as DC coupled capacitive vibration sensors.
