ICMET High Power Laboratory selects HBM to provide turnkey measurement solution
HBM announced that it has been selected by the Research, Development and Testing National Institute for Electrical Engineering (ICMET) to provide turnkey measurement solutions covering a range of products.
The new measurement system is an essential part of the modernization of ICMET’s High Power Laboratory. The "High Power Laboratory Modernization" project is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund, within the "Increasing Economic Competitiveness" program.
Based in Craiova, Romania, ICMET operates accredited laboratories for high power, high voltage and EMC as well as calibration laboratories for high voltage, high current, electromagnetic fields and mechanical force. The activities of ICMET Craiova also include R&D projects covering electric power, electromechanical as well as pneumatic equipment and technologies, monitoring systems, unconventional technologies for environment protection, and energy efficiency.
HBM will deliver its high-end measurement system covering fiber-optic isolated transient recorders, fiber-optic patch panels to interconnect the test cells with the control rooms, analysis software to perform application-specific evaluation of waveforms and to create reports. HBM will also provide on-site training for the operators.
"The comprehensive portfolio of test and measurement solutions, the demonstrated application expertise and the reputation in the marketplace made HBM the first choice for us," said Marian Duta, General Manager at ICMET. HBM’s measurement equipment will enable ICMET to provide a greatly enhanced range of products and software to help its customers improve productivity in their research and development cycles.
