Simple installation of piezoelectric force transducers

The measurement technology specialist HBM now offers suitable pre-stressing sets for the CFW piezoelectric force washers, which make integration of the transducer into an application easier for the user.

Piezoelectric force transducers always need to be mounted pre-stressed. The construction of an appropriate in-house pre-stressing element is therefore no longer necessary.

These compact and robust force washers are suitable for various applications, for instance in presses, tool machines or in production monitoring. The pre-stressing sets consist of a bolt, nut and appropriate washer. All parts are made of stainless steel, ensuring permanently uniform pre-stressing and high resistance against environmental influences.

The bolts and nuts have appropriate bolt pitches to set the pre-stressing force as precisely as necessary. The bolts are hardened, evidencing extremely good creep characteristics so that pre-stressing remains constant after installation. Together with other components such as measurement leads, measuring amplifiers, data acquisition devices and software, HBM offers a complete range for piezoelectric force measurement from one source.
