Owen, November 8, 2019 – The designation “world market leader” is objectively awarded by the Henri B. Meier School of Entrepreneurs of the University of St. Gallen and the Academy of German World Market Leaders (ADWM) across all industries to globally active and successful companies that stand for leading technologies and the outstanding quality of their products and services. Leuze electronic was included in the world market leader index (WMF index) in the area of optical sensors for the first time in 2016 and has been listed in this index every year since. In 2020 as well, Leuze electronic will continue to be ranked there as world market leader champion. This makes Leuze electronic one of the 14 world market leaders in the Esslingen district. The WMF index includes a total of 516 German world market leaders. In reply to the question as to how a company becomes a world market leader, Leuze electronic CEO Ulrich Balbach answers: “The entire Leuze electronic company pursues a consistent focusing and differentiation policy – in other words, concentration on our core competences in the areas of safety at work, smart factory and intralogistical material flow processes. In addition, we focus on those industries in which we see the greatest potential for growth.” When these technological competences are applied to the relevant industry segments in a targeted fashion, this results in specific applications in which the sensor people have endeavoured to achieve market leadership worldwide in a consistent way, explains Balbach.
