Owen, February 1, 2019 – Optical sensor manufacturer Leuze electronic will be highlighting its expertise in the areas of Safety at Work and Industry 4.0 at this year's trade fair in Hanover from April 1–5. Visitors to the sensor people's trade fair booth in Hall 9, Booth 68 can look forward to further developments in these areas as well as a wide range of safety products – from the MSI safety control to the safety locking device. One highlight is "Smart Process Gating" (SPG), which is based on the company's MLC safety light curtains, developed as an alternative to muting without signal-emitting sensors. Leuze electronic was awarded the 2019 GIT Security Award for this technological innovation. Industry 4.0-capable solutions based on the dual channel principle from Leuze electronic will be another area of focus at the sensor people's trade fair appearance in Hanover. Using practical examples, Leuze electronic will show how condition monitoring and predictive maintenance can help the user plan for maintenance intervals and thereby avoid unexpected and costly system downtime.
