New product manager appointed for confocal sensors

Micro-Epsilon Messtechnik GmbH&Co KG: Dr.-Ing. Alexander Streicher, new product manager for confocal sensors, will be responsible for the strategic direction of this product group, while actively encouraging further development of the product range. Dr.-Ing. Streicher is therefore responsible for product management of the optoNCDT ILR laser displacement sensors, as well as the optoNCDT 2401 confocal sensors. Previously, he held the position of sales engineer for non-contact measurement and is now exclusively responsible for product management.

As well as conventional confocal sensors, Micro-Epsilon offers the smallest confocal sensors for displacement measurement worldwide. With an outside diameter of just 4mm, the normally bulky sensor head is no longer required. Many potential applications exist, particularly where installation space is limited. The product range includes optoNCDT2401 standard sensors, optoNCDT 2402 miniature sensors and optoNCDT 2403 hybrid sensors.
