Medical Power Supplies in the 3x5” format with active PFC

PEWATRON is constantly expanding the Medtech power supply unit product line in the 25 - 700 W range.

The new PM202 series by FSP Protek in the compact 3x5x1.5” format generates simple output voltages from 90 - 264 VAC of 12 - 48 V and 200 W continuous power output with an external 5.3 CFM ventilator or 150 W for convection cooling. The leakage current is less than 200 μA, and the effi ciency factor is as high as 88 - 92%, depending on the model. The units are constructed in a U-shape which is designed as a cooling element and for mechanical fastening.

A cover with an integrated ventilator is also available on request. The units are suitable for medical technology applications without patient contact (not for life-support applications) and are also used in data networks, industrial PCs and telecommunication, thanks to approvals in accordance with IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1. Additional functions are active power factor correction (PFC 0.98 typical), short circuit protection, Power Fail Detect (PFD) and Inhibit TTL. The PM202 meets EMV standards in accordance with EN55011 / 55022 / FCC Class B and conforms to RoHS.
