Power supplies for medical technology - compact with high efficiency

PEWATRON is continually expanding the product line power supplies for medical technology in the range 25 - 700 W. The new PM202 series by FSP Protek in the compact 3x5x1.5” format generates from 90 - 264 VAC output voltages of 12 - 48 V and 200 W continuous output with an external 5.3 cfm ventilator or 150 W with convection cooling. The leakage current amounts to less than 220 μA, and the efficiency is in the high range of 88 - 92%, depending on the model. The units are arranged in a U-shape designed to act as a cooling body and for the purpose of mechanical fastening.

A cover with an integrated ventilator is also available on request. As a result of their certification in accordance with TÜV/UL 60601-1, the units are extremely suitable for medical applications without patient contact and also find their place in data networks, industrial PCs and telecommunication due to additional approvals in accordance with IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1. Additional functions include active performance factor correction (PFC 0.98 typical), protection against short circuit, excess voltage and overheating, Power Fail Detect (PFD) and Inhibit TTL. PM202 units comply with the limit values of EMC standards in accordance with EN55011 / 55022 / FCC Class B and conform with RoHS.
