300W miniature green power supply for medical and industrial applications

PEWATRON has launched two new compact MEAN WELL 300 W high power density (14.5 W/in3) series. The RPS-300 series complies with international medical safety regulations (MOPP level) and characterized by its low leakage current (≤300 μA at 264 VAC) that is suitable for “patient contact” equipments; while EPP-300 series, the industrial level PCB power, is suitable to use in the IT systems and industrial machinery as well as electrical equipments.

Featuring active PFC function and 90~264 VAC full range input they are designed with up-to-date LLC topology and synchronous rectifier technology. With 93 % efficiency the devices are extremely efficient and can be continuously operated at 200 W under free air convection cooling at an ambient temperature of up to 70 °C ambient temperature using a corresponding power derating.
Both series have 300 VAC input surge immunity for 5 seconds, which reduces the damage caused by unstable AC mains. Other standard functions include “power good” / “power fail” signal output, remote sense, 12 V/0.5 A auxiliary output, protections for short circuit, overload, over voltage, and over temperature. The devices are equipped with remote ON/OFF control and 5 V/1 A standby output to achieve the goal of “no load power consumption <0.5 W”, hence, they can be used in all kinds of “green mode” medical equipments or electric devices and fulfil the energy-saving requirements for end systems. Both of them comply with global certificates per UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE medical safety regulations and IT certificates respectively.
