Epsimetal : Strain sensor

SCAIME announced the availability of the miniature, digitally compensated, high level (0-5V) output EPSIMETAL strain sensor.

Built-in strain gage conditioning, adjustable using RS 232 allows high level signal and temperature compensation on any material. The low stiffness of the EPSIMETAL provides a large measuring range of 1000 µm/m with a resolution of 1µm/m in tension or compression. The patented pre-loading principle compensates the strain sensor, resulting in excellent repeatability and no zero shift. Installation is possible either by four little screws or by bonding directly to a surface, using removable mounting plates. These plates can be custom made to accommodate any specific surface, e.g. a cylinder. Thus, the EPSIMETAL is re-usable.
