Sensirion is the second-best employer in Switzerland
The success continues! Sensirion has once again been named one of the top employer in Switzerland by Great Place to Work® in the Large Company category. Sensirion also received the special Crisis Management award for bold leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. These awards reflect Sensirion’s unique corporate culture, which is shaped by the values of “teamwork”, “top performance” and “fairness and honesty”.
Over the course of its 20-year success story, as it has moved from an ETH Zurich startup to a global market leader in sensor solutions, Sensirion has been consistently committed to offering an excellent workplace. The company stands out thanks to its unbeatable combination of innovation, a unique corporate culture and a dynamic startup mentality. This is the third year that Sensirion has taken part in Great Place to Work®’s award ceremony – and the third year that it has ranked in the top three. Participation – and the results of the survey – offer valuable insights into the continuing development of Sensirion’s workplace culture.
“We want to be an excellent employer. We are delighted that our efforts to achieve this goal are recognized and valued by our employees,” says Heiko Lambach, VP Human Resources.
Using its specially developed catalog of questions and criteria, Great Place to Work® assesses participating companies to determine to which degree they possess the key qualities of outstanding employers; for example, trust, fairness, team spirit and professional development. The global sensor manufacturer’s employees particularly value the sense of global togetherness, the scope for innovation and creativity, the open and transparent communication, and the skill and credibility of the management and executives. They are also proud to work at Sensirion and are convinced that they are making an important contribution to the company’s continuing success.
“We are proud that we were able to achieve such a positive result this year as well,” says Marc von Waldkirch, CEO of Sensirion. “Our employees are the driving force behind Sensirion’s success story. Together, they create our culture, what we call the SensiSpirit.”
“Our employees’ strong identification with our company and our excellent interdepartmental collaboration have proven themselves once again, even in a year of crisis. That’s why we’re particularly proud to be receiving the special award for the best management of the coronavirus crisis,” adds Heiko Lambach.
