Sensirion wins “Entrepreneur of the Year®” Award
Sensirion is „Entrepreneur of the Year® 2010“: Moritz Lechner und Felix Mayer, founders and managing directors of Sensirion, won the title in the category „High-Tech/Lifescience“. This renowned prize is awarded by Ernst & Young.
Among the reasons for the decision, the jury named the extraordinary innovation potential in combination with a high customer- and service orientation. In this way, they honour „a high technical excellence, which is driven by customer- and market needs”. Furthermore, they justified their choice with the success story of the enterprise. For instance, Sensirion has developed from an ETH spin-off into an established and technologically leading enterprise with more than 200 employees within 12 years. In particular, the independent evaluation committee emphasized the achieved growth of more than 30%, even in the crisis year 2009. Their distinct corporate culture also contributed to winning the business award. Sensirion is „solid, consequent, innovative, cosmopolitan and still modest“, so the judgement in the laudation.
The sensor manufacturer is overjoyed about having won the award. At the same time, it affirms both entrepreneurs to stay with the existing formula for success. „Winning the ‚Entrepreneur of the Year® 2010’ is for us, both confirmation and motivation to serve our customers time and again with innovative and requirement-oriented sensor solutions“, explains Moritz Lechner and promises: „We’ll stay on the ball!“.
