Biocompatible blood pressure sensor - 1620
AMSYS GmbH & Co. KG, Mainz, August 2024 – It’s its small size and the low price, what characterizes this single-use pressure sensor, often used for blood pressure measurement. The 1620 is a calibrated relative pressure sensor for the clinically relevant pressure range of -50 to 300 mmHg. A biocompatible gel protects the pressure cell from the medium to be measured.
Due to its service life of up to 168h, it can also remain in contact with body fluids for a complete week. For hygienic reasons, the sensor is designed as an easily replaceable disposable product. As such, it can be exchanged for a new 1620 sensor with <1% deviation.
The tiny 1620, with dimensions of less than 0.4 x 0.3 inch, is mainly used during operations, in intensive care, in infusion pumps or dialysis machines, in prenatal medicine or obstetrics. It can be disinfected with ETO, gamma or electron beams.
The sensor in a plastic housing is RoHS-conform and designed for a temperature range between 41-104°F, with a TEB of less than 1%. The sensor is calibrated but not compensated and has a mV-output-signal that can be amplified.
As a distributor for sensor technology, AMSYS is one of the specialists in pressure measurement technology with a focus on medical applications on the German-speaking market for TE Connectivity sensors. At this year’s Compamed fair in Duesseldorf from November, 11.-14., AMSYS GmbH & Co. KG will show its new products at booth M04 in hall 8a.
