Absolute Rotary Encoder Kit

POSIC launches the miniature rotary absolute encoder kit AP9600C, which provides the absolute position in SSI format with a 22-bit resolution and a maximum speed up to 20’000 RPM. The highly miniaturized encoder measures only 20 x 20 x 3.5 mm. With a disc-thickness of 0.7 mm, the overall profile height is below 5 mm.

A self-calibration method allows the elimination of eccentricity as well as the compensation of mechanical tolerances. Due to its inductive sensing principle, the encoder is robust against dust, particles, oil, grease, liquids and it is even immune against magnetic fields. This means that it can be integrated inside an electric motor or magnetic actuator without any magnetic shielding.

Target markets include amongst others robotics, e-mobility, autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, semiconductor equipment, drones, electric motors and rotary stages.
