AV58M – absolute analogue magnetic encoder – with signal adjustment at the touch of a button

With the AV58M SIKO GmbH has expanded its product range by the addition of an absolute encoder with analogue output, in which the gear ratio is not defined in advance. The AV58M’s resolution is 12 bit throughout the entire measurement range. The start and end point of the measuring range is freely programmable. Signal adjustment is carried out using two key buttons or external inputs. Programming is supported by a status display using two LEDs next to the buttons. The calibration using two set screws that has previously been required is therefore no longer necessary. Due to the fact that the gear ratio no longer needs to be defined and calibration is supported by a "teach-in" function, the AV58M is much more operator-friendly than previous analogue encoders.
