Bar code reader with Ethernet/IP interface

The BCL 358i modular bar code reader series from Leuze electronic has been expanded by another Ethernet-based device model with integrated Ethernet/IP interface.

The BCL 358i bar code reader equipped with this interface can therefore be directly embedded into the Ethernet/IP network without additional software and configured via hardware configuration ("RSLogix"). Furthermore, using an already integrated switch, a linearly structured network can be created. The BCL 300i series is now providing the three most important Ethernet-based fieldbuses (TCP/IP, Profinet and Ethernet/IP) as well as Profibus as integrated interfaces. The BCL 500i series, basically the "big brother" of the BCL 300i, features the Ethernet/IP interface.

In addition to various interfaces and optics, the modularity of the BCL 300i series bar code readers also sets new standards regarding possible connection technology. Depending on the requirements, the user can choose between M12 connectors and terminal hoods with spring-loaded terminals or fixed connection cables. Thanks to this modularity, all electrical contacting variations according to individual customer needs are possible.
