The vision sensors in stainless steel housing now feature the universal image tool “edge characteristics,” the all-in-one solution to master numerous inspection tasks by a single intelligent feature check. The versatile inspection potential ranges from evaluating packaging quality regarding shape and size to monitoring packaging units for partial discrepancies to verifying the proper roundness of bottle caps.

As always, the development focus for a new VeriSens feature check was on ease of use. The inspection task is set up within few minutes by easy configuration using Application Suite. The “edge characteristics” image tool can do many complex feature checks – and is yet intuitive to configure the vision sensor in only four convenient steps. To users in the beverage industry, VeriSens now provides double benefit by a powerful image tool and high IP 69K protection. VeriSens vision sensors are the only ones in the market in stainless steel housing and washdown design with high IP 69K rating. VeriSens vision sensors can perform up to 32 feature checks at the same time, the patented Baumer FEX image processor ensures stable image evaluation and the configurable web interface allows for any necessary parameter adaptation being made straight in the running process.
