Baumer opens new development center in Czech Republic

The Baumer Group is expanding its research and development (R&D) activities and has opened a new location in the Czech Republic for this purpose. The Baumer Development Center in Brno will play a key role in the implementation of Baumer's high innovation and quality standards in the future.

"Research and development is the cornerstone of our corporate strategy and the basis for new sensor solutions. With our new location in the Czech Republic, we are expanding our international network in this area - in addition to our existing competence centers," says Oliver Vietze, CEO of the Baumer Group.

The decision in favor of Brno was made after a comprehensive site analysis. Its business environment, connection to the local university, and central location finally tipped the scales for the second largest city in the Czech Republic and chief research location in the country. In close cooperation with the Baumer headquarters in Frauenfeld (Switzerland), concepts for efficient and automated series production or prototype testing as well as all necessary embedded software will be developed in Brno in the future.

Baumer is currently looking for several test and software engineers for these jobs in Brno.
