Bosch recognition for Balluff

Bosch Global Supplier Award

Neuhausen a.d.F., Germany: Balluff GmbH, Partner for Sensor Solutions and Systems, has been recognized for the second time by its customer, Robert Bosch GmbH, with the Bosch Global Supplier Award.

The award ceremony on July 15, 2015 in Stuttgart, featured the theme: "Power of partnership - connected intelligence". Out of 30,000 suppliers, a total of 58 partners from 11 countries were singled out for the award. Balluff was already for the second time among the winners.

With the Bosch Global Supplier Award 2015, the Bosch Group recognizes outstanding performance in the production and delivery of products or services – in particular in the areas of quality, costs, logistics and innovations.

“The Bosch Global Supplier Award honors our top suppliers, who play such a key role in Bosch’s success,” said Dr. Volkmar Denner, Chairman of the Board of Management at Bosch, during the award ceremonies in Stuttgart. “Our suppliers are important partners in helping us shape the connected world. We want to work with them to develop beneficial solutions for our customers.”

Among the criteria for the award were supplier evaluations from worldwide Bosch plants. "For us, Balluff excels in its strong customer focus, manifest above all in the networking of our companies both electronically and organizationally", says Lars Nordström, Director Global Purchasing Maintenance, Repair and Operations at Bosch, describing the cooperation. Also recognized were the strong global networks of Balluff with its production, logistics and advisory network, as well as the high motivation of the entire Key Account Team.

Florian Hermle, Managing Director of the Balluff Group, is proud. Together with the Key Account Manager, Alessandro Guerrieri, he received the award on behalf of the team.

In this, I am particularly proud of the fact that our customer focus has received praise from a global perspective. It means that we are acting as a global team and are capable of fulfilling the high standards required by Bosch worldwide - in sales, development and in the supply chain."

Both companies are in complete agreement when Volkmar Denner comments on the Internet of Things: "This makes it all the more important to have competitive and connected supply chains. Our goal is to achieve supply chain excellence." Also, he emphasized that strong, long-term partnerships with suppliers are essential to that goal, and are also key drivers of networked solutions.
