catman®AP 3.2 data acquisition software – new version for more convenient acquisition of your measurement data
HBM: The new catman®AP software version 3.2 is now available from HBM with numerous new functions. With their innovate and easy to operate catman®AP data acquisition software, HBM amplifier systems can be transparently set up and can acquire, display and analyze the measured values without the need for any programming.
Many innovations can be found in the sector of Usability so that operation is even easier to set up. Just a fraction of the connected sensor designations is now required to obtain suggestions for suitable sensor types when setting up a measurement channel. Numerous ideas for these product improvements originate from so-called software clinics where new users are observed to obtain ideas for improvements.
In this new version, catman®AP supports the new measurement technology hardware espressoDAQ and the latest QuantumX system modules. Two new export formats for saving data in MATLAB and RPC III format have also been included.
Another highlight worth mentioning is the possibility of synchronizing distributed systems via NTP time stamping. This means that spatially distributed QuantumX modules and even hybrid systems – in particular the familiar amplifier systems QuantumX and MGCplus – can be synchronized.
In NTP synchronization, the devices are connected in a star configuration via normal Ethernet network cables and synchronized via a so-called NTP server. NTP synchronization can always be used where synchronization via hardware (Sync-cable) is not possible and where a synchronicity of approx. 1 ms is sufficient.
