Closing Force and Mold Protection Sensor for Injection Molding machines
Monitoring of the closing force and mold protection are important molding process functions that have to be controlled or monitored. With the strain transmitter Type 9238A... Kistler offers a sensor that combines the measuring element and the electronics in a single case. It measures both small forces during mold movement and high closing forces during mold closure.
The transmitter is easily mounted with just one M6 screw. The built-in electronics have two signal outputs providing parallel signals representing the force during tool movement and the closing force. This allows simple integration into the molding machine's control system. Both measuring ranges and other functions, such as signal inversion and signal offset, can be preset with the software. Combining the actual sensor and the electronics in one unit makes the assembly extremely robust and provides it with maximum protection under the tough conditions of routine production.
