Data recorder for QuantumX. Universal measurement – self-contained recording
QuantumX, the modular DAQ system from HBM, allows mechanical, electrical and thermal quantities to be measured simply and securely. The system has no difficulty working together with a great many different types of amplifier.
The data recorder that HBM is now introducing for the QuantumX series can also be used for stand-alone data logging, without having to connect a PC to the system. The type CX22W data recorder extends the QuantumX series by adding a local storage option for the measurement data.
The measurement task is configured, step by step, via a connected PC, and this can also be done wirelessly, over a WLAN. Data can be recorded manually using the start/stop key integrated into the device, by using autostart, or can be event-driven, by means of intelligent triggers. Measurement system operation is then totally self-contained. Selected signals can be monitored, so that if necessary, alarms can be triggered. The robust, removable CF card saves the measurement data in the selected data format and rhythm, including the meta-data. A full measurement report can be generated by VB scripts. The individual, graphic display and control levels for touch-screen connection are very easy to set up. A configuration that has been saved can be loaded at any time.
The typical areas of application for self-contained measurement systems like this include mobile applications, such as in vehicles, and the stationary, long-term monitoring of buildings.
