Double reward for 3D image processing

INB Vision AG, member of the Micro-Epsilon Group, was awarded not one but two innovation prizes at the end of 2014. The company was not only honoured by the Mayor of Magdeburg, but also received the Hugo Junkers prize.

Since 2011, Magdeburg has rewarded domestic companies. This year, appreciation was expressed to businesses and research facilities developing and offering particularly innovative products and services, which in turn helps to promote Magdeburg as a location for research and business. On 4th November 2014, the Head Mayor of Magdeburg honoured, amongst others, INB Vision AG with the business award.

The Hugo Junkers prize is awarded for research and innovation from Saxony-Anhalt. INB Vision AG was rewarded in the "Most innovative alliance" category for a joint project called "Surface inspection based on adapted surface models" performed in collaboration with the Otto-von-Guericke-University and the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF. For 24 years, the Ministry for Science and Economic Affairs of Saxony-Anhalt has bestowed the Hugo Junkers prize to trendsetting companies and scientists from the region.
