Easy handling with address link label
Leuze electronic: The commissioning of all Leuze electronic products which have an Ethernet interface available, such as Profinet, has now been simplified even further – by means of a sticker with a MAC address, a so-called "address link label".
During the commissioning of bar code readers, data transmission photoelectric sensors or smart cameras, for example, it is possible that their MAC addresses must sometimes be sought in the system with a significant amount of effort by the configurer. Sometimes it can also happen that, depending on the installation situation, it is not even possible for him to read the address. The address link label offers a clever solution to this in order to ease the commissioning. It involves a sticker on which the MAC address, in addition to its specification on the device itself, is also printed. It offers enough space to also allow for the IP address and device name to be noted on it. The label can be easily removed from the device and pasted in installation plans or other documents. Consequently, the MAC addresses can always be found where they are actually needed – with the result that the commissioning is substantially easier, quicker and error-free.
