For motor feedback and lift shaft copying: Absolute encoders with SSI and BiSS-C interface
Absolute encoder GBPAs with BiSS-C interface is perfect for feedback at gearless synchronous motors
Baumer is introducing absolute encoders GBPAS with BiSS-C interface conceived for the synchronous motors commonly deployed in lift engineering. The encoders support the growing industry trend towards increased travel speed and hoisting height at yet compact dimensions, reduced operating cost and high travel comfort.
Such demanding drive concepts rely on high-resolution encoders. Particular focus of GBPAS is on high-dynamic applications with high transmission rates up to 10MHz, safe data transmission by CRC validation, flexibility and easy system integration. As an option, the optical encoder comes with additional incremental interface with up to 2048 sine periods per turn for utmost precision in drive control.
GM400 encoders with SSI interface are the products of preference in lift shaft copying systems for quick and precise cabin positioning. In their standard configuration, the multiturn absolute encoders are capable of up to 14 bit which equals 16384 steps per turn and up to 16 bit meaning 65536 turns. Moreover, they feature integrated diagnostic functions for condition-oriented maintenance and thus will prevent expensive system downtime.
