Force sensor for application ranges up to 300 °C
HBM is expanding its selection of piezoelectric force washers with PACEline CHW. The new force washers are suitable for use at very high ambient temperatures of up to 300 °C. A cable is also welded on to offer users complete protection.
Numerous applications in industrial measuring and test engineering require force measurements at high temperatures. That includes monitoring of rolling processes, production monitoring for pressing or hot gluing and also test benches used for experimental mechanics.
The new PACEline CHW piezoelectric force sensor from HBM Test and Measurement (HBM) is the right solution for these applications. The force washers work reliably in ranges with very high temperatures of up to 300 °C (CHW-3) or 200 °C (CHW-2). Because changes in temperature have only a slight effect on the sensitivity of the sensor, the measurement result remains stable.
Users also benefit from a cable permanently welded onto the sensor that ensures optimum safety when using the measurement technology. The CHW force sensor for extremely high temperatures is part of the PACEline series of high-quality piezo sensors from HBM and is compatible with all available accessory parts and charge amplifiers.
