Force transducer for extreme conditions

The HBM U10M and U10S type force transducers are now also available in a version with the high degree of protection IP68.

These transducers, which are based on strain gauge technology, are suitable for measuring both static and dynamic forces. They are characterized by a sturdy, flat measuring body and individual bending moment alignment. In order to achieve the high IP68 degree of protection, the cable is directly connected to the transducer, unlike other models which have a bayonet type plug.

Applications for the new transducers can be found, for instance, in test benches set up in climatic chambers. The transducers are also ideally suitable for other applications under rough ambient conditions or outdoors. All transducers from a nominal (rated) load of 12.5 kN are now available with the new IP68 design.
