All-in-One I/O module with safe interruptible actuator segment

Balluff: With the BNI IOL-355 Balluff offers a TÜV certified all-in-one I/O IO-Link module with safely interruptible actuator segment. Ideal applications include controlling valves in pneumatic and hydraulic systems. IO-Link and the easily visible status LEDs provide the user with numerous diagnostic possibilities.

Both sensors and actuators can be connected to the rugged, IP 67 rated I/O module with two galvanically isolated segments. Together with an external safety device the supply voltage for the actuator segment can be safely shut off in order to meet safety functions up to PLd per EN13849 or to SIL2 per EN62061.

The module also features eight digital in- and outputs. If the IO-Link connection is interrupted, the outputs assume predefined states. This states remain until the IO-Link connection is restored.  The module has the following approvals: CE, TÜV, IO-Link, UL-File E319845, Vol.1 Sec.1
