HBM measurement technology with integrated control for automation solutions

HBM: Effective immediately, the PMX measuring amplifier is available with integrated control unit in compliance with the IEC61131 standard.

The PMX measuring amplifier system from HBM Test & Measurement will be equipped effective immediately with an integrated control unit in compliance with the worldwide standard for real-time applications IEC61131. This represents the union of noise-free measurement technology and worldwide standardized control technology in process and factory automation. The resulting new automation solutions including visualization offer the user massive simplification and cost reduction.

PMX users will be using the Codesys software suite for this in the future. The suite features programming, fieldbus and I/O configuration, MotionControl and other tasks. Users can even create their own plug-ins. The Codesys V3 software platform is based on the IEC 61131-3 programming system.

It allows for professional engineering in an expandable platform, for example, and the user can use the CANopen interface to receive data or send CAN data in PMX. Users can also create visualization interfaces integrated into the PLC programming system and display them on a PC or in a web browser.

The Codesys runtime license is included in the PMX basic device WGX001, which eliminates the need for cumbersome software licensing.

From creation of the program to finished application including documentation, HBM delivers not only the complete measuring chain, but also services such as project planning and creation of control system software.
