High-speed data acquisition with GEN3i mobile data recorder

HBM Test & Measurement presents a powerful and flexible new product, the mobile GEN3i data recorder.

Recording, saving and visualizing millions of measurement data items per second places special demands on the measurement data acquisition system. The new GEN3i data recorder from the Genesis HighSpeed family can be used for a wide range of applications including generators, turbines and motors. Features include troubleshooting, maintenance and start-up as well as destructive material testing.

Data is transferred directly to the storage medium at speeds as high as 200 MB/s. Up to 96 input channels can be configured as required and data can be continuously transferred to hard disk. Fast sweeps can also be recorded. 21 different data acquisition cards are also available, for example with a 1000 V direct input voltage or sampling rates of 100 MS/s.

The compact dimensions of the GEN3i make it ideal for mobile use. The sturdy carrying handle makes it convenient to transport, while it can also be ready for use immediately. The touchscreen user interface features intuitive, self-explanatory control. All data processing functions can be accessed with the touch of a finger. An integrated Windows 7 PC and preinstalled Perception software make it possible to convert the data recorder into a powerful data acquisition system at the touch of a button.
