Impedance Head Simultaneously Measures Dynamic Force and Acceleration
Dytran Instruments, Inc.: Model 5860B impedance head simultaneously measures dynamic force and acceleration at a point on a structure. The output force and acceleration signals are coupled to a signal analyzer to measure a function called “Driving Point Impedance.” The acceleration output is typically integrated to velocity in order to compute the mechanical impedance. The 5860B offers a simple approach to the measurement of point mechanical mobilities and impedances. The 5850B features a piezoelectric 100 mV/LbF force sensor and a piezoelectric 100 mV/g accelerometer.
