Individual and reassuringly intuitive – the new VeriSens® web interface
Baumer: Quality inspection tasks used in some production processes often require easy adaptations to product or process modification. Integrated inspection systems like vision sensors should therefore enable users to adjust settings even after the first configuration – efficiently in a timely manner.
For this purpose, Baumer is presenting a new generation of its VeriSens® web interface at this year’s VISION fair. With this web-based user interface, announced for the first quarter of 2013, Baumer makes it as easy as possible to reconfigure vision sensors. For the first time, users can combine application-related parameters in a user configurable menu. With just a few finger taps, these settings can then be adapted at the machine in the subsequent process. Since access is possible across all operational systems via a standard web browser without plug-ins, the browser generally already installed on the equipment can be used.
Up to 32 different feature checks can be simultaneously run within one job with the VeriSens® vision sensors. Up to 9 of these features can be freely selected in the web interface and presented to the machine operator for reconfiguration. This considerably reduces procedural complexity. In addition, it enables even inexperienced users to perform individual adaptations. The web interface will be available on a cross-series basis for all new VeriSens® models of the ID, CS, XF and XC series. An easy software update will allow current users of Baumer vision sensors to benefit from the advantages as well.
