Industrial automation for railway systems

For the key railway technology industry, at the Hannover Messe Industrie 2012 Pilz has been demonstrating how industry-proven control systems can contribute to the necessary modernisation of the railway infrastructure.

Industrial control solutions are also being considered for the modernisation of signalling technology on the German rail network. Standardised solutions, simple configuration and programming as well as low investment and operating costs are just some of the benefits of using industry-proven safety control systems. However, control systems must meet increased safety and environmental requirements up to SIL 4 of CENELEC 5012x.

At the Hannover Messe Industrie Pilz will be demonstrating how unguarded level crossings and other such installations can be protected economically using the automation system PSS 4000.
