inspect award 2025 for innovative Baumer RDMA camera platform QXF
Baumer is once again recognized for its innovative strength and wins the inspect award also in 2025. This year, the new RDMA camera platform QXF won over the jury and the expert audience in the online voting. In the Vision category, readers of the trade magazine inspect voted the innovative camera concept into first place.
What is special about the QXF RDMA cameras? To date, there are hardly any ready-to-use solutions for very high data rates without having to resort to frame grabbers. Baumer closes this gap with GigE Vision 3.0 via RDMA. The new QXF dual-head RDMA camera platform opens up completely new possibilities with up to 100 GigE data transmission.
One major advantage is the lower CPU utilization in the Vision PC thanks to RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access). The CPU is no longer included in the data path and is therefore almost completely available. This means that more powerful vision systems can be designed at the same cost - or more cost-effective systems with the same performance.
As a result, GigE Vision 3.0 now scales from 10 GigE single cameras to extremely powerful multi-camera systems with several 100 Gbit/s thanks to RDMA and the use of standard network components. Special frame grabber-based solutions are no longer required.
By winning the inspect award 2025, Baumer is building on the successes of previous years. Recent award-winning innovations include the All-In-One GigE Vision camera IXG, the CX.XC camera with integrated cooling channel and the AX Smart Cameras.
