Leuze electronic announces sales figures for 2016

The combination of innovative technologies, user orientation and the company's most important asset, the sensor people, has been the secret of the company's success.

Owen, May 12, 2017 - Leuze electronic, one of the world's leading innovators in the field of optical sensors, has assessed the current market situation as being excellent. "The order situation is very good. And this is in spite of the fact that we already achieved double-digit growth in the previous year", says Ulrich Balbach, CEO at Leuze electronic. The company concluded the past financial year with a growth of 14%. Thus the sensor system manufacturer grew stronger than the market. In 2017 we also endeavoring to achieve two-digit growth of at least 11% to sales of about 200 million EUR. In 2016 the sales could be increased from 158 million EUR (2015) to 180 million EUR. "The company's most important asset are our employees, the sensor people", says Ulrich Balbach. In accordance with the strong growth of the company, many new employees with different qualifications are being looked for in all areas of the company - locally, nationally and internationally - from skilled production workers to product managers and sales managers. According to a FOCUS study, Leuze electronic again counts among Germany’s top employers for 2017. The number of employees increased from 944 (2015) to 1045 (2016). We are planning to increase our workforce by about 10% in 2017, with half of this increase taking place in Germany.
