Leuze electronic - with smart sensors at LogiMAT 2017
Leuze electronic: From March 14 to 16 Leuze electronic is appearing at LogiMAT 2017, the international trade show for distribution, material and information flow in Stuttgart as the leading manufacturer for optical sensors as well as an experienced, innovative complete solution provider for intralogistics.
Owen, January 13, 2017 - Leuze electronic is presenting a wide, high-quality product range for the requirements of conveyor and storage systems to end users such as machine manufacturers in hall 5 on stand F51. On the basis of a wide range of application examples, Leuze electronic is demonstrating the importance and relevance of sensor systems in many areas of intralogistics, such as high-bay warehouses, side-tracking shelves, continuous conveyors and shuttles. With more than 50 years of experience and many innovations in this area, Leuze electronic has in-depth application know-how, which is supplemented by a wide variety of services and support. As well as a comprehensive range of services for the entire machine lifecycle, this includes outstanding delivery capability worldwide with more than 22 of the company’s own locations and 42 sales partners, for example. With smart sensor business 4.0, Leuze electronic is providing sensor solutions which enable the technical possibilities to be exploited and contribute to optimizing processes in storage systems: For reliable manual and automatic identification and traceability in product order picking, Leuze electronic demonstrates hand-held readers for bar codes as well as highly modern identification technologies using 2D-code and RFID technology. The new DDLS 500 data transmission photoelectric sensor is a trade show highlight from the data transmission area. It combines 100 Mbit/s real-time transmission over a distance of up to 200 m with a world first: all of the relevant data can be retrieved worldwide by means of remote diagnostics using an integrated web server, removing the need for an on-site presence. Furthermore, the manufacturer for optical sensors is presenting an Industry 4.0-capable Smart Sensor Business solution based on the compact, modular BCL 348i bar code reader. Its process data and metadata are transmitted directly to the Microsoft Azure Cloud via the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) of the OPC-UA interface without an intermediate gateway. There, the data are captured by the IOT hub and made available to the Azure Cloud Services for analysis and visualization. On the other hand, the bar code reader can be actuated directly via Azure Cloud Services. Leuze electronic also has an answer for increasing safety-related requirements in intralogistics in the area of safety at work: the company provides complete safety system solutions and high-quality safety products: for protecting the load pick-up and load drop-off areas, protecting driverless transportation systems and side-tracking skates in the vicinity of telpher lines as well as for collision protection for cranes or foot-space safeguarding in the vicinity of side-tracking shelves. With "Smart Process Gating", Leuze electronic is introducing an SPG process with which muting processes are more economical, simpler and safer. It was developed on the basis of its safety light curtains, which means that signal-emitting sensors can be completely dispensed with. Please stop by and visit us in hall 5, booth F51.
