Leuze to increasingly rely on online training

16 July 2020

Leuze has been offering online training for customers long before Covid-19. But in the future, the Sensor People will be relying even more on digital formats, starting in July on the topic of machine safety. Further topics will follow in autumn.

Owen, June 29, 2020 - Customers are increasingly welcoming or even requesting online training, particularly since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Leuze already has many years of experience with several different training formats on a wide range of topics. In the future, the Sensor People will increasingly rely on digital training, starting on the topic of machine safety.

Digital training format The online format allows participants to join Leuze’s digital training courses from anywhere, without any associated travel costs or expenditures, and in small course units of about two hours. And thanks to an integrated chat function, the participants can still interactively communicate with the instructors.

All about machine safety As safety experts, the Sensor People have many years of know-how on the topic of safety at work. Machine safety is a field in which they have accumulated particular expertise. Qualified Leuze instructors will convey this knowledge to customers and interested parties in an online series starting in July. The training will answer frequently asked questions by manufacturers, integrators, and operators on the topics of manufacturing, operating, and modifying machinery. Questions such as, "What is the manufacturer's responsibility and what is the operating company's responsibility?" "What is the meaning of the CE mark?" "What are harmonized standards and why do we need them?" will be answered. The training is intended for anyone interested in machine safety, or those requiring a refresher, regardless of whether they work in planning, design, safety at work, or maintenance.

Safely setting up and converting machine systems Leuze also offers training on setting up and converting machine systems. This training covers all questions related to setting up, modifying, and retrofitting machinery and equipment. It is primarily intended for operating companies of machinery and service providers. This format is mostly about the CE marking as well as legal questions regarding the construction, installation, or replacement of fixtures on existing machinery.
