Low cost draw-wire sensors measure up to 7.5m
The latest draw-wire sensor from measurement technology manufacturer Micro-Epsilon is the wireSENSOR MK120. This new MK model is part of the company’s well-established low-cost draw-wire sensor range and offers a measuring range of up to 7.5m. This is currently the largest measuring range available in this product range. The new draw-wire sensor completes the company’s MK sensor series. The sensor’s ultra compact design and large measuring range is particularly beneficial to the customer. The MK120 series is available with measuring ranges of 3,000mm, 5,000mm and 7,500mm. The sensors are available with outputs of 4… 20 mA, 0 … 10 V or potentiometric outputs.
Derived from numerous standard draw-wire sensors, the MK120 is based on extensively tried and tested technology. A significant difference from the standard sensors in the series is the housing, which is made from glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) rather than metal. The sensor can therefore be provided at a relatively low cost for high volume orders. With a measuring range of 7,500mm, applications that require a large measuring range and a low-cost sensor can now be used. In the case of special requirements, other signal types and particularly redundant variants are also optionally realised for the MK series.
