MAGRES hermetic – Unsurpassed robustness

Baumer Electric: Operation under extreme conditions is the great strength of the new MAGRES hermetic absolute encoders. They provide permanent IP 68 and 69K protection class and offer the highest levels of shock and vibration resistance values.

Thanks to their stainless steel housings they are particularly well suited for applications involving harsh media such as cleaning agents, acids, bases and seawater. Compliance with the highest possible protection classes is achieved thanks to the hermetically sealed encapsulation of all electronic components. MAGRES hermetic easily handle submersed operation or regular treatment with high pressure cleaners.

MAGRES hermetic encoders are available with all established interfaces such as SSI, CANopen, DeviceNet, Profibus DP and EtherCAT. Their robust bearing design including Simmerring® coupled with the impact-resistant seal provide reliable protection against dirt and UV light aging while offering mechanical peak values with shock-resistance up to 500 g and shaft loads up to 280 N.

Thanks to their shock and vibration-proof magnetic sensing, MAGRES hermetic encoders provide optimum robustness, reliability and long service lives making them perfectly suited for all types of HeavyDuty applications.
