Manner's Rotary Torque Measuring Flange now with additional Axial Force Measurement
The company Manner Sensortelemetrie has extended its torque measurement flange range, especially developed for the test rig environment, with a new feature. The new rotary combination measurement flange supports the simultaneous dynamic capture of torque and axial force. Especially for clutch, drive shaft and test rigs for tunnel-boring or deep-hole-boring machines the simultaneous capture of dynamic axial forces is indispensable. Its especially compact design also facilitates the retrofitting of the measuring element in existing test rigs. The flange operates, as accustomed, without bearings and with wear-free contactless signal transmission technology and is thus absolutely maintenance-free. With the use of the tried and tested digital sensor telemetry in the rotor, the highest degree of system precision and of EMC environmental resistance is achieved. The additional large range between rotor and stator and the robust design with the compact signal pickup have proven their worth in practice. In addition to the classic analogue output signals (voltage/current), the combination flange is also completely network capable. USB, CAN and Ethernet (TCP/IP) network connections are available. The combination flange can thus also be seamlessly integrated in existing test rig networks. As an option, rotational speed can be measured. For simple applications, a data capture and visualisation software is also available.
