ManuWare Software – for Easy Setup of Industrial Charge Amplifier and Transmitter Parameters
Kistler sensors and piezoelectric measuring amplifiers offer great versatility essential for use in modern, flexible manufacturing. For quite some time this has been achieved by consistently equipping new Kistler products with a computer interface allowing comprehensive parameter configuration.
The new ManuWare software now provides Kistler customers with a multi-purpose tool for setting the parameters of the modern ICAM industrial charge amplifiers and the new generation of transmitters quickly and easily. On connection to the PC these instruments are identified with an AutoScan function and listed in the program with their status clearly shown. Instrument groups can be structured as a project. Dialogs tailored to each particular instrument make parameter configuration very intuitive. A graphical display of the test measurements and auxiliary functions for scaling indirect measurement help the user set up force measurement applications. The number of simultaneously supported measuring channels is only limited by the power of the computer being used.
The settings of the fully configured devices can be saved on the PC. The resultant back-up files make it easy to provide replacement instruments or measuring chains with identical parameter configurations for similar applications. ManuWare currently supports industrial charge amplifiers ICAM Type 5073A... and new transmitters Type 9337A... (force) and Type 9238A... (strain), and is available free of charge. The range of supported instruments is growing all the time. In the future it will be possible to configure even the more complex CoMo Net® control monitors and the electromechanical NC joining systems with ManuWare. In addition to the free basic software package, various expansion modules for measurement and analysis are planned.
