Matthias Brinkmann takes over as head of the Pilz German subsidiary - German sales at Pilz under new management
In January 2021 Matthias Brinkmann became the new head of the German sales subsidiary of the automation company Pilz. Previously Brinkmann had managed the sales activities of Pilz in Asia. In his new position the 53 year old will work with the sales team to expand further the strong market position of Pilz on the German market.
Matthias Brinkmann brings many years of sales experience to the new job. A future focus in Germany will be the expansion to the range of solutions on offer and the close interaction between market and technology that this will necessitate.
53 year old Matthias Brinkmann graduated in industrial engineering and has held various positions at Pilz since joining in 2000. He started off in product management. In 2002 he became the chair of the user organisation Safety Network International e.V. In 2009 he switched to International Sales at Pilz, where he held various management positions. Since 2016 he has been responsible for the activities of the Pilz sales and service subsidiaries in the Asia/Pacific region as Vice President Asia Pacific.
Matthias Brinkmann succeeds Martin Frey, who will take on the position of Product Requirement Manager in the German sales subsidiary. In this position he will identify market requirements and customer needs at an early stage and communicate these to the company.
