Measure Vibration in Tight Spaces with PCB’s Smallest Charge Triaxial Accelerometer

23 May 2024
Introducing PCB Model 357A67 elevated temperature, small charge triaxial accelerometer

May 23, 2024 - Depew, NY - PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) is introducing new Model 357A67 elevated temperature charge triaxial accelerometer. The 357A67 is PCB’s smallest charge output triaxial accelerometer and can withstand temperatures as high as 500°F (260°C).

Model 357A67 features:

  • Small size 0.78 x 0.40 x 0.45 in (19.8 x 10.2 x 11.4 mm)
  • High charge output 3.0 pC/g
  • High resonant frequency ≥ 45 kHz
  • Measurement range ±1,000 g

Model 357A67 is PCB’s first charge output accelerometer that utilizes one multi-conductor cable assembly instead of three individual coaxial cable assemblies, reducing the installation envelope of the sensor/cable pair. This model’s small size and integral M3 x 0.5 mm thread allows for ease of mounting within customer assemblies which can then be tested at temperatures up to 500°F (260°C). The rugged titanium shell is hermetically sealed with output through a 4-pin ¼-28 pin connector.

Model 357A67 can be used for many test applications involving elevated temperatures and space restrictions. Automotive applications include powertrain development and vehicle systems NVH. Aerospace & defense applications include ESS and HALT/HASS testing of satellites, as well as vibration testing in thermal vacuum environments and on small objects, small turbines, & fuel cells.
